Jim Zolty - SJHS Class of '68

Hi Frank,

I recently moved from Bumpass, VA back into the west end of Richmond, VA and while unpacking the numerous boxes came across the post card you sent out in 2002 letting us know about the SJHS web site. I noticed that the information I provided you back in 2002 has changed a little and wanted to give you an update.

I am currently employed by Sedgwick CMS as a Safety Consultant working with self insured construction companies, wood product manufacturers, school systems and retail business. My two daughters Claire (30) and Jenny (28) are both married and I have one grandson age 8. My son Jim (22) is going into his senior year at Radford University and his major is Business Management. Plan to retire in a few years and move south to FL to enjoy the warm weather, great sunsets, fishing, golf and dining out.

It was good hearing from you.  From your web site it looks like life is treating you and your family well!! Thanks for the post card regarding the SJHS web site. You, Mike McDowell, and all others that are responsible for this site have done a great job!!!

I wanted to give you some information on my family and myself.  My e-mail address is james.zolty@stpaul.com (work) or LKT1961@mindspring.com.  My address is 318 Horseshoe Bend, Bumpass, VA 23024 (between Richmond and Charlottesville on I-64).  Home phone number is 804-556-2047, and work number is 804-965-1443.  I am currently working for The St. Paul Property and Marine Insurance Company as a Senior Risk Control Consultant/Transportation Specialist.  I have worked in the insurance field since 1973 with various insurance companies and insurance brokers.  I currently handle large national accounts and multi-location regional accounts, providing safety consulting and dealing with CEO's, CFO's, COO's and various other senior management personnel.  I work mainly in Virginia but will handle transportation accounts in the Mid Atlantic Region, which includes NJ and PA.  I worked and lived in NJ until 1985, when I moved to Virginia.

I got married in 1973 and divorced in 1989.  I have three great kids and one grandson.  Claire Marie is 25 and married with one son, my grandson William (Will) James Ruis.  They live in Chester, VA.  Jennifer Lynn is 23, engaged with a May 2003 wedding.  She graduated from Radford University in 2000 with a Criminal Justice degree and currently works for the NC Board of Pharmacy.  She is living in Raleigh, NC.  My son, James Adam, is 17 and living with me in VA.  He is in his second year of HS and belongs to the school golf team.  He is doing very well in academics and has made honors each semester for the last three years.

In 1995 I had a house built at my current address with 5 acres on South Anna River.  This is a heavily wooded area with nothing but farms all around us.  Nothing to see a deer, fox, wild turkey, snakes, etc. on a regular basis. I enjoy fishing, golfing, attending auctions and playing with my grandson. I have a couple more years before retirement but plan to move further south when this does occur.

Again, thanks for your time given to the Class of 1968 to keep this web site up and going.  I also like your personal web site, South Jersey category.  Viewing this information brought back a lot of good memories.
